My name is Jaime Kamel, let me introduce myself to you before the school year begins. I am the mother of four: an eleven year old, Laura; a thirteen year old, Peter; an eighteen year old, Jake; and a twenty year old, Sam. My husband and I just celebrated fourteen years of marriage and sixteen years together. However, my family is not complete until I mention my seven year old miniature schnauzer, Sophie and my one year old miniature schnauzer, Jessie.
This is going to be my twentieth year working at Central. I love working here and have enjoyed teaching many grade levels. I have been working at Central since graduating from Keene State College in 1999 with a degree in Elementary Education and a degree in English. Over the years I have worked as a grant size reduction teacher, second, third and fourth grade classroom teacher. After finishing my Experienced Educator’s Master’s degree with an Autism Spectrum Disorders Certificate, I worked as a special education teacher for the (kindergarten, first and second grade) Intensive Needs Program. All of these years have been special to me and each year brings a new group of students that further invigorate my love for teaching.
I am looking forward to working with you and your child to make this year enjoyable and successful. We will be working hard as we delve into our mathematics and science curriculum. It is my hope that your child has been exploring the outdoors and enjoy his/her time this summer. I can't wait for him/her to come in and share their summer adventures with the class.
